This full day tour will take through the middle of the island and through the forests of Rhodes to some traditional villages untouched from the passing of time. We will visit a small oasis(7 Springs) and we will head to the old abandoned Italian village before we visit one of the eldest chapels on the island. We will continue driving through the dense forests of Rhodes full of cypresses and pines. We will arrive at Embona village known as the wine village of Rhodes where we can enjoy a stop for a wine tasting and\/or lunch. We will then head to the west coast and will stop to Kritinia castle for some of the most amazing views in Rhodes. We can also stop at a traditional restaurant next to the sea for your lunch break before we head back to Rhodes town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filerimos Hill and Filerimos monastery. We will then drive to Filerimos hill and monastery standing at 300 meters (267m ). We can visit the Filerimos monastery ” Our Lady of Filerimos” built upon the foundations of the ancient temple of Athena. Additionally you can walk the pathway on the right, the Way to the Cross, with pictures from The Passions of the Crist. At the end there is the Cross with some fantastic views of the west central side of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fountoukli chapel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
On the top of the hill lies one of the most amazing fortresses in Rhodes. Offering one of the most stunning views of the island , overseeing the nearby islands of Chalki,Symi,Strongili,Tragousa, Tilos and Nisiros. You will be amazed by the views of the Aegean sea, Greek Islands and Turkish coast. Also one of the most amazing places to view the Sunset in Rhodes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Profitis Ilias – Embona Village<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
We will then visit one of the 3 ancient cities of Rhodes. If you love the ancient history and old ruins then you will love this stop. The city was built in 3 levels. On the higher level you will visit the Acropolis with the temple of Athena Kameiras and the Stoa. At lower levels you will see the ruins of an old archaic water reservoir, a Doric temple (probably Apollo’s), the fountain house, the Agora and Peribolos of the Altars… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kritinia Castle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Optional stop of the one of two remaining pottery factories on the island a small family business that still keeps alive the ancient pottery tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
