LINDOS VILLAGE, LINDOS ACROPOLIS, ST. PAU’S BAY
Before we arrive to Lindos village we will pass from the most famous viewpoint on the island. Upon arrival at Lindos you will have plenty of time to stroll inside the little roads of Lindos village, visit the Acropolis of Lindos, the old Byzantine churches, dine at the rooftop restaurants enjoy some beach time at Lindos beach or St Paul’s Bay , one of the most famous wedding churches!
THE ACROPOLIS, DIAGORAS STADIUM AND MONTE SMITH HILL
The Acropolis of Rhodes, the Ancient Stadium of Diagoras the named after the most famous of the Olympic winners in the ancient world, and the Monte smith hill for some breathtaking views of Rhodes town, Turkish coast, Greek islands and the North west side of the island.
THE NEW CITY
Heading to the new town and the old Port (Mandraki) we will go through the Old italian buildings (City hall, Church of Annunciation, Governor’s Palace, National Theater of Rhodes). We will see the entrance of the old port with the two columns, where the two bronze deer stands (one of the most characteristic landmarks of the island) and according to the local myth Colossus of Rhodes used to stand. Then we will head to the Hotel of Roses and the Aquarium of Rhodes the northernmost point of the island where Aegean sea meets the Mediterranean sea
THE MEDIEVAL CITY OF RHODES
We will arrive at the Medieval town of Rhodes. The Order of St John of Jerusalem occupied Rhodes from 1309 to 1523 and set about transforming the city into a stronghold. It subsequently came under Turkish and Italian rule. With the Palace of the Grand Masters, the Great Hospital and the Street of the Knights, the Upper Town is one of the most beautiful urban ensembles of the Gothic period.

We will drive back through Faliraki and Kalithea so you can admire some of the unique landscapes of the island.

Can you drive inside Lindos?
Cars are not allowed inside the village of Lindos. We can drop you at the nearest entrance where we will meet you on the way back for the return trip.
How much is the entrance at the Acropolis of Lindos?
Entrance fee is 12 euros for Adults, 6 euros for Seniors with a valid ID or Passport, Free entrance for everyone under 18 years old. There is no entrance fee for Lindos village, the beach or the other attractions.
Do we need to get to Acropolis? Can we see it from the bottom?
There is no need to visit the Acropolis. There are around 300 steps to get to the acropolis and there are no handrails or assistance for people with mobility issues. Donkeys, the ”Lindos taxi” as the call it is the second option, for the ones the wish not to go up the stairs by foot. Donkeys will use a different path to get to the Acropolis.
Where do we meet in Lindos for the return trip?
As cars are not allowed inside the village we can meet at one of the exits, the main square, Lindos reception or at St. Paul’s bay. We will be in touch at all times, so there will be no problem, in case you wish to change the meeting point.
How much time we have to spent in Lindos?
Usually we have one hour in Lindos. Going up to the acropolis it takes about 15 mins and about 20-30 mins at the top. If you wish we can amend the total time, add extra hours, skips some stops or you can choose the Rhodes Private Tour A day in Lindos (3h time in Lindos)
One of the seniors can’t walk, what will she/he do in Lindos?
This is not a problem! We can drive them to the beach or one of the cafe bars at the top of the village where they can wait for you enjoying a cold refreshment and admire the village and the surroundings while they are waiting.
Is Lindos suitable for young children?
If you have a stroller then going up to the acropolis with the stroller is quite challenging. Otherwise the kids will love the journey, the donkeys ,the sandy beach, the alleys and the castle of Lindos.

How can I pay?
We will need a small deposit to book the tour for you. Then you can Pay the rest at the day of the event or earlier. You can pay with Card or with Cash (You can pay in Euros, English pounds or US dollars. Please let us know in advance in case you wish to pay in GBP or $)

Are there butterflies all year long in the butterfly valley in Rhodes?
No, there are no butterflies all year long. You can see the butterflies from mid June till beginning/mid September. The warmer the better as butterflies come to their pick during the warmer days of the summer season. There is an entrance fee of 5 euros for Adults and is free for children below 12 years old. Valley is open from 08:00 am till 16:00 pm. Don’t be taken away if your are visiting Rhodes later or earlier from the season as the valley is a wonderful place for whole family.
Is there is entrance fee at Filerimos Hill?
There is 6 euros fee for Adults at Filerimos Monastery, 3 euros for seniors with a valid ID/Passport. Children under 12 have free entrance. There is no entrance to visit the Fillerimos Cross/Hill.
We have visited Lindos, can we skip this stop?
Sure, if you have already visited Lindos or staying at Lindos village we can skip this stop. Also we can skip any other stop or change the stop for another ( i.e 7 Springs for Kalithe Springs).
