This half day tour will take around the north west coast of the island to few of the most visited highlights. Starting from Rhodes town with our short city tour we will pass from the port where according to the myth Colossus of Rhodes used to stand, will continue to the Filerimos Hill at 270 meters. We will then continue our road to Kritinia castle and then to Ancient Kameiros. On the way to the Butterflies , we can stop at a traditional local winery (optional), and we could stop, as well at the one of the two pottery factories still running preserving the ancient Greek art of pottery making!

The Acropolis of Rhodes, the Ancient Stadium of Diagoras the named after the most famous of the Olympic winners in the ancient world, and the Monte smith hill for some breathtaking views of Rhodes town, Turkish coast, Greek islands and the North west side of the island.
FILERIMOS HILL AND FILERIMOS MONASTERY
Filerimos Hill and Filerimos monastery. We will then drive to Filerimos hill and monastery standing at 300 meters (267m ). We can visit the Filerimos monastery ” Our Lady of Filerimos” built upon the foundations of the ancient temple of Athena. Additionally you can walk the pathway on the right, the Way to the Cross, with pictures from The Passions of the Crist. At the end there is the Cross with some fantastic views of the west central side of the island.
KRITINIA CASTLE
On the top of the hill lies one of the most amazing fortresses in Rhodes. Offering one of the most stunning views of the island , overseeing the nearby islands of Chalki,Symi,Strongili,Tragousa, Tilos and Nisiros. You will be amazed by the views of the Aegean sea, Greek Islands and Turkish coast. Also one of the most amazing places to view the Sunset in Rhodes
ANCIENT KAMEIROS
We will then visit one of the 3 ancient cities of Rhodes. If you love the ancient history and old ruins then you will love this stop. The city was built in 3 levels. On the higher level you will visit the Acropolis with the temple of Athena Kameiras and the Stoa. At lower levels you will see the ruins of an old archaic water reservoir, a Doric temple (probably Apollo’s), the fountain house, the Agora and Peribolos of the Altars…
*POTTERY FACTORY
Optional stop of the one of two remaining pottery factories on the island a small family business that still keeps alive the ancient pottery tradition.
ANASTASIAS WINE ESTATE
Optional stop – One of the best wineries on Rhodes island , Anastasia’s winery will offer you the first taste of local made produced wines. A family winery with a wonderful estate and vineyards, where you can have the option to tour in their facilities, will offer you 4 different wines. They also produced the local liqueur ”Souma” . They are using organic methods and processes to create their wines!
THE BUTTERFLIES VALLEY
One of the most visited landmarks of the island with wooden bridges springs and waterfalls will amaze you with its natural beauty. From mid June to mid September thousands of butterflies will cover the valley to make it a dream place for natura lovers, young and old

Yes , there will be a sommelier or a member of the staff at each winery where they will explain you about their wines and production methods
Is there is entrance fee at the butterflies valley and Ancient Kameiros?
There is 5 euros for Adults and it is free for children under 12 years old.
How long is the walk to the butterfly valley?
It is about 60 mins from the lower entrance to the higher entrance. We can drive you to the top entrance and you can walk down the hill. (total time about 30mins). You can also visit the local shops have a coffee break or visit the butterfly museum.
Is there entrance fee at Kritinia Castle?
No there is no entrance fee at Kritinia castle, entrance is Free. Bare in mind that there are steps in order to get to the Castle.
